Supermedia store has a 200 TY 8x DVD-R for $64 shipped, with paper sleeves. They're not printable, so the price is so-so.
And so is the quality. The main reason for this post is to get some constructive feedback from any DVD-geeks who don't mind sharing their current wisdom on what constitutes an excellent DVD blank.
"TY" certainly is no longer the gold standard - even though Supermedia store claims to be an authorized TY dealer and hoots about authenticity, the recent feedback from their customers re this "premium" product is not a pretty picture - several reports of very poor burn quality. Of course, plenty of rah-rah "they work great for me" too, but imo the bad reviews from seemingly thoughtful buyers are telling.
